Pyrotechnical underwater cutting procedure using detonating cord (1) with linear hollow-charge action, consisting of a malleable duct (2) containing a continuous pyrotechnical charge (3) which forms an open cavity (4) designed to be applied against a surface (5) to be cut, characterized in that : - said cord is wrapped in a flexible and sealed envelope (6) made of a heat-shrink plastic film ; - said envelope is caused to shrink by heating, to match the contour so that the opening of said cavity is blocked by stretched film (6a) ; - said cavity is connected with a source of compressed gas (7) with pressure equal to or slightly above hydrostatic pressure at immersion depth.
