A partition for a shower comprising a fixed side wall (2) and a slidable door (3), the door at its upper end (4) being guided on a supporting rail (6) by means of rollers (5) or the like and with its lower end (7) being adapted to be swung away from the side wall transversely to the direction of sliding, in the area where the closed door overlaps with the fixed side wall there being provided on the latter a longitudinal guide (9; 9a; 9b) impinging on the lower edge of said door, characterized in that the longitudinal guide (9; 9a; 9b) takes the form of a check guide and is adapted to be slid and/or released from the area of the door.
