[origin: EP0055700A2] A hydropneumatic apparatus comprising a movable cleaning element (20) fitted onto the barrel of a gun (10). The cleaning element is mounted at the end of a hollow rigid rod (11) dimensioned so as to fit inside the barrel of the gun (10) over at least part of the length of the barrel, the said rod (11) being traversed by a cable (5) which connects the cleaning element (20) to a pneumatic winding/unwinding device (30) equipped with an automatic braking system. <IMAGE>
