An inflatable armband 1 suitable for use when swimming comprises a plurality of parallel inflatable buoyancy means 9 and 10 and a connecting member which consists of a non-inflatable section 6 and inflatable chambers 12 to 15 having substantially reduced cross- sectional area in relation to the cross-sectional area of the buoyancy means 9 and 10, which connecting member connects the ends of the buoyancy means and rests on the inside of the upper arm of the user when the armband 1 is in normal use, such that, when one or more of the buoyancy means are inflated, the armband 1 can remain unsupported on the upper arm of the user. <IMAGE>

Aufblasbarer Arm-Schwimmring mit einer Vielzahl von parallelen aufblasbaren Schwimmkammern und einem Verbindungsglied, welches die Enden der Schwimmkammern miteinander verbindet und in der normalen Gebrauchsstellung zur Anlage an der Innenseite des Oberarms des Benutzers ausgebildet ist derart, daß das Armband unabgestützt am Oberarm des Benutzers gehaltert ist, wenn eine oder mehrere der Schwimmkammern aufgeblasen sind.
