Apparatus for temporarily protecting athletics fields such as tennis courts or the like and swimming pools, consisting of a cloth (3) fixed temporarily just above the field to be protected, this cloth (3) being rolled up on a drum (4) supported by a shaft (5) mounted in bearings provided on two end carriages (6) each comprising at least one front wheel (7, 7') and one rear wheel (8, 8'), one rolling on the field to be protected and the other on the cloth (3) while the carriage (6) carries stretching rollers or wheels (12) to keep the carriage centred and thus to maintain the tension of the cloth (3) when the latter is rolled up or unrolled. <IMAGE>

Dispositif destiné à protéger temporairement les terrains de sport tels que tennis ou autres, ainsi que les piscines constitué par une toile (3) fixée temporairement au ras du terrain à protéger, cette toile (3) étant enroulée sur un tambour (4) supporté par un arbre (5) monté dans des paliers prévus sur deux chariots (6) d'extrémité comprenant chacun au moins une roue avant (7, 7') et une roue arrière (8, 8') roulant l'une sur le terrain à protéger et l'autre sur la toile (3) tandis que le chariot (6) porte des roues ou galets de tension (12) maintenant le centrage du chariot et de ce fait la tension de la toile (3) lors de l'enroulement ou du déroulement de celle-ci.
