1. Apparatus for utilizing the heat of the exhaust gas of a furnace, for instance, of an oil-fired heating system, comprising a container, which is provided with a flue gas inlet and a flue gas outlet and holds a liquid bath for the flue gases, wherein the liquid of the liquid bath which has been heated by the flue gases passed through the liquid is adapted to be used as a heat source for a heat exchanger for heating a fluid to be supplied to a consumer, characterized in that the container comprises at least one jacketed container (2), which serves as a heat exchanger and the jacket (3) of which is adapted to be directly supplied through corresponding conduits with the fluid to be supplied to a consumer, such as water for consumption or cold air.

Um die Abgaswärme einer Feuerungsanlage wirkungsvoll und ohne Beschädigungsgefahr für den Schornstein ausnutzen zu können, werden die Rauchgase, bevor sie durch den Schornstein ins Freie strömen, zur Wärmeabgabe und Reinigung durch ein Flüssigkeitsbad geleitet, das seinerseits als Wärmespender eines Wärmetauschers verwendet wird. Zur Durchführung dieses Verfahrens eignet sich ein Doppelmantelbehälter (2) dessen Innere (6) Flüssigkeit für das Flüssigkeitsbad der Rauchgase aufnimmt, die durch eine Rauchgaszu- und eine Rauchgasableitung (7,8) durch das Innere (6) des Behälters (2) strömen. Der Doppelmantel (3) selbst, auf den die Abwärme der Rauchgase übertragen wird, ist durch Anschlußleitungen (4,5) an einen Heizkreislauf angeschlossen und führt die Wärme ab.
