[origin: EP0057042A2] Cut flowers are packed for transport and storage in a box (1) made of plastics. The box has a rectangular base (2) with sloping walls (3-6) with turned-over edges. (13,14). The box is filled with flowers which are then pressed downwards by a bar (16). The bar has a transverse notch on one side near each end and is fitted through holes (15) in the box side walls so that the notches engage the edges of the holes. The bar thus keeps the flowers compressed and also supports the side walls (5,6).
