In an automatic vending machine comprising a credit mechanism (4), consisting of a coin checker (5) and a coin counter (6) and a coin box (2) and a releasing device (3) below the credit mechanism (4), coupling points (27,30,35) are provided at least between the coin counter (6) and the coin box (2) and the coin counter (6) and the releasing device (3). Bei einem Selbstverkäufer mit einem Kreditwerk (4), bestehend aus einem Münzprüfer (5) und einem Münzzähler (6), sowie einer Kassiereinrichtung (2) und einer Auslöseeinrichtung (3) unterhalb des Kreditwerks (4) sind wenigstens zwischen dem Münzzähler (6) und der Kassiereinrichtung (2) und dem Münzzähler (6) und der Auslöseeinrichtung (3) Koppelstellen (27, 30, 35) vorgesehen. Es soll das Kreditwerk ohne Werkzeug abnehmbar sein und bei dessen Einsetzen eine selbsttätige Kopplung mit den übrigen Einrichtungen erfolgen. Hierfür ist das Kreditwerk (4) unten, oben bei der Kassiereinrichtung (2) und der Auslöseeinrichtung (3) an einer vertikalen Achse (8) von einer Einsetzstellung in eine Aushebestellung nach vorn schwenkbar gelagert und in Aushebestellung von der Achse (8) abnehmbar. Die Achse (8) liegt vor den Koppelstellen (27, 30, 35) und an den Koppelstellen (27, 30, 35) stehen sich die zu koppelnden Teile (25, 26; 28, 29; 36, 37) frei gegenüber.
