[origin: EP0057650A2] The device comprises a tube (7), in which an absorbent pad (10) is engaged. The tube is milled to form a flat (7a) allowing the pad to go beyond the flat in the direction of the reel (3) from which the yarn is being unwound. The latter therefore comes into contact with the pad (10) which is immersed in a suitable liquid conveyed into the tube by means of a pipe (13). The tube (7) is approximately level with the disk of the double-twist spindle. The invention is used on a twisting machine. <IMAGE>
