[origin: WO8200575A1] An electrically heated rod for the hair curling comprises a heat insulated handle (1), a cylindrical intermediary part (2) which is heat conducting and contains the electrical heating and one arm (4) pivoting about an axis (3) transverse to the longitudinal direction and of which the far end (19) of the handle (1) has a complementary shape to the intermediary part (2). The rod is provided with an end part (5). This part has one end on the axis which is made of heat insulating material and is shaped as a point (7). This point has an outer diameter which decreases linearely or parabolically from the intermediary part (2). The point (7) is used to separate the hair locks allowing the hairdresser to do a more rational work. The need to separate each lock with a comb, passing one time the rod and another time the comb between the operating end and the other end is thus eliminated.

Une tige electriquement chauffee pour onduler les cheveux comprend un manche calorifuge (1), une piece intermediaire cylindrique (2) bonne conductrice de chaleur et contenant le dispositif de chauffage electrique et un bras (4) pivotant autour d'un axe (3) transversal a la direction longitudinale dont l'extremite eloignee (19) du manche (1) a une forme complementaire a la piece intermediaire (2). La tige est munie d'une piece d'extremite (5). Cette piece possede une extremite sur l'axe qui est en matiere calorifuge et en forme de pointe (7). Cette pointe a un diametre exterieur qui decroit lineairement ou selon une loi parabolique a partir de la partie intermediaire (2). La pointe (7) sert a separer les meches de cheveux permettant un travail plus rationnel au coiffeur. La necessite de separer chaque meche avec un peigne, avec passage tantot de la tige tantot du peigne entre la main operante et l'autre main, est ainsi evitee.
