[origin: WO8200614A1] A felt-tip pen (11), or similar utensile, has an elongated body (13) housing as is conventional, an ink-impregnated tow (15) which extends through an end of the body in the form of a writing point (17). A cover (35) for the point (17) is provided which protects the writing point (17) when the pen is not in use, and prevents the point from drying out. A conventional cover can be misplaced or lost while the implement is in use. To prevent lost, the cover is pivotally and slidably connected to the body to be movable between a first position in which it encloses and protects the point (17) and a second position in which the point (17) is uncovered for use and the cover (35) is snugly accommodated in a recess (29) in the body (13).

Un stylo-feutre (11), ou un ustensile analogue, possede un corps allonge (13) contenant de maniere conventionnelle, une etoupe (15) impregnee d'encre s'etendant au travers de l'extremite du corps sous forme d'une pointe d'ecriture (17). Un couvercle (35) pour la pointe (17) est prevu et sert a proteger la pointe d'ecriture (17) lorsque le stylo n'est pas utilise, et a empecher le sechage de la pointe. Un couvercle conventionnel peut toutefois etre deplace ou egare pendant que l'outil est utilise. Afin d'empecher la perle, le couvercle est relie de maniere pivotante et coulissante au corps et peut etre deplace depuis une premiere position dans laquelle il enferme et protege la pointe (17) jusqu'a une deuxieme position dans laquelle la pointe (17) est a decouvert pour l'utilisation et le couvercle (35) se trouve range dans un renfoncement (29) du corps (13).
