[origin: WO8200685A1] The engine comprises cylinder sections (11, 12) provided with feed chambers (15, 16) for additional fresh air. The two outer rings (4a, 4c) acting as pistons, draw in fresh air through intake ports (17a, 18b) and force that air to enter combustion chambers (13, 14) through communication ducts (9a, 9b) and ports (19, 20). The middle ring (4b) is intended for the fresh gas supply of the combustion chambers (13, 14). The radial grooves (21, 22) for fresh air are provided at a shorter distance from the ports (19, 20) than the radial grooves (8a, 8b) for fresh gas. Burned and expanded gas is first exhausted from the combustion chambers (13, 14) by fresh gas; then, the combustion chambers (13, 14) are filled with fresh gas and fresh air. Thus, exhausting unburned gas together with burned gas is avoided and an improved combustion is provided within the combustion chambers (13, 14).

Ce moteur comprend des troncons de cylindre (11, 12) pourvus de chambres d'avance (15, 16) pour l'air frais supplementaire. Les deux anneaux exterieurs (4a, 4c) agissant comme pistons, aspirent de l'air frais a travers les ouvertures d'admission (17a, 18b) et l'obligent d'entrer dans les chambres de combustion (13, 14) a travers les conduits de communication (9a, 9b) et les ouvertures (19, 20). L'anneau median (4b) sert a l'alimentation en gaz frais des chambres de combustion (13, 14). Les rainures radiales (21, 22) pour l'air frais se trouvent a une petite distance des ouvertures (19, 20) que les rainures radiales (8a, 8b) pour le gaz frais. Le gaz brule et detendu est d'abord expulse des chambres de combustion (13, 14) par le gaz frais; ensuite, les chambres de combustion (13, 14) sont remplies de gaz frais et d'air frais. Ainsi, on evite d'expulser du gaz non brule avec du gaz brule et on obtient une combustion amelioree dans les chambres de combustion (13, 14).
