A combustion device, intended especially for wood waste, which makes it possible to ensure an optimum and residue-free combustion without expensive control devices. For this purpose, a fuel receiving chamber is provided in the form of a container which has a wall at least essentially perforated over the entire surface and is of tapered construction in its base region. The combustion air is fed against the flame propagation direction via a cavity chamber which surrounds the container on all sides and is bounded radially inside by the container wall. The flue gases are fed in a flue surrounding the cavity chamber to an outlet and the device for igniting the fuel stock is disposed in the region of the tapered lower end of the container. <IMAGE>

Es wird eine vor allem für Holzabfälle bestimmte Verbrennungsvorrichtung beschrieben, die es ermöglicht, ohne aufwendige Regeleinrichtungen eine optimale und rückstandsfreie Verbrennung zu gewährleisten. Zu diesem Zweck ist ein Brennstoffaufnahmeraum in Form eines Behälters mit zumindest im wesentlichen ganzflächig gelochter Wandung vorgesehen, dessen bodenseitiger Bereich verjüngt ausgebildet ist. Die Verbrennungsluft wird über einen den Behälter allseitig umschließenden und radial innen von der Behälterwandung begrenzten Spaltraum entgegen der Flammausbreitungsrichtung zugeführt. Die Abgase werden in einem den Spaltraum umgebenden Rauchgaszug zu einem Abzug geführt, und die Einrichtung zum Zünden des Brennstoffvorrats ist im Bereich des verjüngt ausgebildeten unteren Behälterendes angeordnet.
