[origin: ES8301127A1] Apparatus for cooling rolled wire rod consists of a first part which guides the wire rectilinearly and cools it with water, a turn-laying unit which forms the wire into turns and lays the turns in staggerred disposition on a continuously running conveyor, and a second part comprising the conveyor which allows passage of an approximately vertically directed stream of air to the turns and conveys the wire turns to a coil forming station which collects them. In order to provide substantial adaptability to various cooling requirements by means of simple and inexpensive conversion, the two parts are composed of a plurality of modules of the same modular length or an integral multiple of the modular length. A base frame carries the modules and the turn-laying unit is fixed on the base frame in a longitudinally displaceable manner. Thus, the lengths of the first and second parts can be changed, and individual modules or groups can be replaced.

Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einem ersten, den Draht geradlinig führenden und in Abschnitten mit Wasser kühlenden Teil (A), einem den Draht zu Windungen formenden und die Windungen gegeneinander versetzt auf einen kontinuierlich laufenden Förderer ablegenden Windungsleger (3) und einem Förderer, der einem etwa senkrecht gerichteten Kühlmittelstrom Durchtritt und Zutritt zu allen Windungsteilen gewährt, als zweiten Teil (B) der die Drahtwindungen einer sie sammelnden Bundbildestation (4) zuführt. Um weitgehende Anpassungsfähigkeit an unterschiedliche Kühlbedingungen durch einfachen und kostensparenden Umbau zu erreichen sind beide Teile (A,B) der Vorrichtung aus einer Mehrzahl von Modulen (5, 6, 15) gleicher Grundlänge oder einem ganzzahligen Vielfachen der Grundlänge zusammengesetzt und auf einem Grundrahmen (14) aufgebaut, auf dem auch der Windungsleger (3) in Langsrichtung versetzbar angeordnet und befestigt ist, wobei sich die Module (5, 6, 15) bzw. Gruppen von Modulen (5, 6, 15) in ihrer Führungs-bzw. Förderfunktion unterscheiden und/oder die Kühlwirkung unterschiedlich beeinflussen.
