The bracket is intended to allow a person in bed for medical reasons, to execute, without any extra help, the following motions: to sit up again on her bed, to sit on the edge of the bed, to stand up, to make a few steps and sit on a seat. It comprises one arm (14) intended to be used as a turning support for the person in bed, mounted by means of a set of tubes (10, 11, 12) engaged telescopically into each other, on a base (24) laid on the ground next to the bed. The arm (14) may be moved by the person in bed, against a certain resistance, between an angular position for which it is above the bed, and an angular position for which it is away from the bed.

La potence est destinée à permettre à une personne alitée pour des raisons médicales, d'exécuter sans aide extérieure, les mouvements suivants : se redresser sur son lit, s'asseoir sur le bord de celui-ci, se lever, faire quelques pas et s'installer dans un siège. Elle comprend un bras (14), destinée à servir d'appui tournant à la personne alitée, monté par l'intermédiaire d'un jeu de tubes (10, 11, 12) engagés télescopiquement les uns dans les autres, sur un socle (24) pose sur le sol à côté du lit. Le bras (14) peut être déplacé par la personne alitée, à l'encontre d'une certaine résistance, entre une position angulaire pour laquelle il se trouve au-dessus du lit, et une position angulaire pour laquelle il se trouve à l'écart de ce dernier.
