Circuitry for a gas alarm device comprising : a) a measured value transmitter (A) which is coupled to a warning and to a fault channel. b) a switching amplifier (D) with an alarm emitter (B) in the alarm channel c) a fault amplifier (f) in the fault channel, from which a control instruction which separates the measured value transmitter signals from the alarm channel, is derived at the onset of a fault, characterised in that d) a logic storage system (E) is connected between the switching amplifier (D) and the alarm emitter (B), e) an alarm condition present prior to a fault remains in being on its output side, and f) that the presence of a fault is established by means of a fault relay independent of the alarm emitter (B).
