Elastically resilient safety covering sheet, especially for floors, consisting of a rigid supporting body (2) and of a covering body (3) which is provided on the top side (8) of the latter and consists of elastically resilient material and which has a cover panel (4) which is held at a distance from the supporting body (2) and which only possesses on its underside (6) a plurality of knob-like spacers (7) which, distributed essentially uniformly, rest loosely on the surface (8) of the supporting body (2), the cover panel (4) having a continuous edge (10) located outside the outline of the supporting body (2) and with an inward-directed bent portion (11) by means of which it is anchored to the supporting body (2), characterised in that the supporting body (2) has in the lower region a continuous inward step, in that the continuous edge (10) of the cover panel (4) engages by means of its bent portion (11) into the step of the supporting body (2), and in that a free space (12) is provided under the bent portion (11) of the continuous edge (10) of the cover panel (4).
