Abstract (en)
Anode slime containing lead is upgraded, and lead is recovered, by two-stage leaching resulting in a combined solution from which lead acetate crystallizes At least 48% of the lead is extracted in the first stage, at least 94% being extracted overall. Each stage preferably consists of leaching with ammonium acetate solution with a concentration of 6 mole dm<-><3> at 40 DEG C for 1 to 2 hours.
