Abstract (en)
1. Apparatus for driving pins or similar objects into materials such as walls, of the type comprising a driving rod on which the user strikes with a hammer or sledge hammer and which, in sliding into the interior of the body of the apparatus drives the pin into the material, the said body being constituted by a fixed part (1) of which the extremity bears against the material into which it is required to drive a pin and by a movable part (2) capable of sliding with reference to the fixed part, and a recoil spring (9) being located in the interior of the body of the apparatus in order to separate the movable part from the fixed part, the movable part being capable of being displaced in the direction of the material into which the pin is driven and compressing the recoil spring in the proportion that the pin is driven under the action of strikes made by the user on the driving rod, apparatus characterised by the fact that it comprises a removable connector (5) which is maintained in the fixed part of the body of the apparatus by a longitudinal groove (24) located on the periphery of the connector, groove which is terminated by a circular part of a greater diameter in which is a locking mechanism (22) which in one position, opposes the disengagement of the connector and permits it in another position.

Appareil pour enfoncer les chevilles ou les organes analogues dans des matériaux tels que des murs, du type comportant une tige-poussoir (8) sur laquelle l'utilisateur frappe avec un marteau ou une massette et qui, en coulissant à l'intérieur du corps de l'appareil enfonce la cheville dans le matériau) ledit corps étant constitué par une partie fixe (1) dont l'extrémité s'appuie contre le matériau dans lequel on désire enfoncer la cheville et par une partie mobile (2) susceptible de coulisser par rapport à la partie fixe, un ressort de rappel (9) étant disposé à l'intérieur du corps de l'appareil pour écarter la partie mobile de la partie fixe, la partie mobile pouvant se déplacer en direction du matériau dans lequel on enfonce la cheville en comprimant le ressort de rappel au fur et à mesure que la cheville s'enfonce sous l'action des chocs exercés par l'utilisateur sur la tige-poussoir. La tige-poussoir est susceptible de se déplacer axialement sur une certaine fraction de sa longueur par rapport à la partie mobile du corps de l'appareil, de manière à ce que le choc provoqué par le coup de marteau sur la tige-poussoir ne se répercute pas sur la partie mobile.
