Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0060218A2] The closure has a container orifice (1) with an external thread (2) and a screw-cap (3) with an internal thread (4). The screw-cap has a sealing portion (5) which can be brought into sealing engagement with the container orifice. In order to avoid a sealing on the screw thread and thus the risk of the screw-cap jumping off when it is screwed on, spacer cams (7) are arranged on the thread flanks, which spacer cams hold the thread flanks in a relative position to one another in such a way that a venting channel (11) is produced between the flanks. By this means, the internal pressure in the container is reliably reduced via the thread during screwing-on of the screw-cap as long as said thread is still in firm engagement. <IMAGE>
