1. A spout (3) for a metal melt, in particular a tapping spout of a blast furnace for the production of pig iron, comprising a trough-shaped metal jacket (4) provided with a refractory lining (5, 6) accommodating the metal melt and with at least one cavity (4'") through which a coolant flows, characterised in that, within the cavity of the metal jacket (4), ribs (14) departing from a distribution box (22, 23) arranged on one end of the spout (3), extending in the longitudinal direction of the spout and conducting the coolant are provided, and that air is provided as the coolant.

Eine Rinne (3) für eine Metallschmelze weist einen trogförmigen Metallmantel (4) auf, der mit einer feuerfesten, die Metallschmelze aufnehmenden Auskleidung (5, 6) und mit mindestens einem von einem Kühlmedium durchströmten Hohlraum (4‴) versehen ist. Zum Verhindern von Fugenläufern bei einer Rinne (3) mit geringer Wandstärke ihrer feuerfesten Auskleidung (5, 6) und zum Erzielen einer der Hitzebelastung der Rinne (3) gut gngepaßten Kühlung, sind innerhalb des Hohlraumes des Metallmantels (4) von einem an einem Ende der Rinne (3) angeordneten Verteilerkasten (22, 23) ausgehende, das Kühlmedium leitende, sich in Längsrichtung der Rinne erstreckende Rippen (14) vorgesehen und ist als Kühlmedium Luft vorgesehen.
