An apparatus for lubricating strip or web sheet metal consists of a housing (2) which possesses an inlet (3) and an outlet (4) for the passage of the sheet metal and in which there are provided nozzles (8), arranged distributed transversely to the direction of travel of the strip, for spraying the oil and distributing rolls (10) arranged downstream of the nozzles (8) in the direction of travel. In order to obtain a more even film of oil, the housing (2) possesses two chambers (6, 7) arranged one behind the other in the direction of travel of the sheet metal and substantially sealed off from one another, on the one hand for the nozzles (8) and on the other hand for the distributing rolls (10).

Eine Vorrichtung zum Einölen von band- oder tafelförmigen Blechen besteht aus einem einen Einlaß (3) und einen Auslaß (4) für den Blechdurchtritt aufweisenden Gehäuse (2), in dem quer zur Banddurchlaufrichtung verteilt angeordnete Düsen (8) zum Aufsprühen des Öls und den Düsen (8) in Durchlaufrichtung nachgeordnete Verteilerwalzen (10) vorgesehen sind. Um einen gleichmäßigeren Ölfilm zu erhalten, weist das Gehäuse (2) zwei in Durchlaufrichtung der Bleche hintereinander angeordnete, im wesentlichen gegeneinander abgedichtete Kammern (6, 7) einerseits für die Düsen (8) und anderseits für die Verteilerwalzen (10) auf.
