An article of furniture, in particular a cupboard, comprising a bottom panel (7), a top panel (8) and side walls (6), the ends of which are carried in longitudinal slots in support arms (2) which are arranged parallel above and beside each other and which have receiving openings adjoining their front ends, and comprising at least one door member (1) which is secured to two selected support arms by means of hinges (10) having a hinge axis, which include frame portions which projections projecting into the receiving openings and door portions which connect the door member rotatably to the frame portions, characterised in that the frame portions comprise mounting pins (24) which can be inserted into the receiving openings while the door portions are connected to the frame portions rotatably but non-displaceably in the direction of the hinge axis and are arranged at the ends of a mounting member (12) which extends between the frame portions and which has a longitudinal slot (43) in which the edge of the door member on the hinge side is arranged in such a way as to be masked and adjustable laterally and in respect of height.
