[origin: US4472857A] In the door stop, the arm which is pivotally mounted on the door has the shape of a flat strip against the respective edges of which strip are applied under elastically yieldable pressure two rollers. The first roller, which, in the open position of the door, is engaged in a stop notch, is fixed in position, whereas the other roller is rotatably mounted on a transverse portion of a stirrup which connects adjacent end portions of two helical windings of a torsion spring. Each roller comprises two rings which are fitted one inside the other and have a sliding contact between each other, with the pins on which they are mounted, with the arm and with inner faces of a bracket carrying the pins.

Le bras (4) articulé en (7) sur la porte (3) a la forme d'une lame plate sur les bords respectifs de laquelle sont appliqués sous pression élastique deux galets (12, 13) dont le premier, qui en position ouverte est engagé dans le cran d'arrêt (9), est fixe tandis que l'autre (13) est monté rotatif sur la traverse (30) d'un étrier (32) reliant les extrémités adjacentes de deux enroulements héliocoïdaux d'un ressort de torsion (31). Chaque galet (12, 13) se compose de deux bagues (46, 47) emboîtées l'une dans l'autre et ayant l'une avec l'autre, avec l'axe (19, 30), avec le bras (4) et avec les faces internes (18) de la ferrure (14) un contact glissant.
