[origin: US4466557A] Improvement to devices for measuring the quantity of products for canning comprising a quantity-measuring chamber which is substantially vertical and mounted on a support rotating about an axis substantially parallel to the axis of the chamber, the latter consisting of a tubular enclosure inside which slides a piston and having its lower part connected via a supply conduit, to a tank containing the product for canning and via a delivery conduit to a vertical cylindrical filling nozzle, in which slides a secondary piston, the delivery conduit issuing into the nozzle through a lateral opening entirely situated above the orifice by which the conduit communicates with the chamber. A controlled valve opens or closes a passage between at least the supply conduit and the measuring chamber. The delivery conduit is entirely situated inside the cylinder described by the axis of the measuring chamber during the rotation of the support. The invention finds an application in canning installations.

Perfectionnement aux dispositifs doseurs de produits à emboîter comportant une chambre de dosage (2) sensiblement verticale montée sur un support rotatif autour d'un axe (1) sensiblement parallèle à l'axe de ladite chambre, constituée par une enceinte tubulaire (2) dans laquelle coulisse un piston (4), ladite chambre étant reliée à sa partie inférieure par un conduit d'alimentation (5) à un réservoir (3) de produit à emboîter et à un embout de remplissage (7) cylindrique vertical dans lequel est monté un piston secondaire (8) coulissant par un conduit de refoulement (6) débouchant dans cet embout (7) par une ouverture latérale (6a) entièrement située au-dessus de la face inférieure (4a) du piston de dosage au point mort bas (4'a), tandis qu'une vanne (2a) commandée assure l'établissement ou l'interruption de la communication d'au moins le conduit d'alimentation (5) avec la chambre (2) de dosage, perfectionnement caractérisé en ce que ledit conduit de refoulement (6) est entièrement situé à l'intérieur du cylindre décrit par l'axe de la chambre de dosage lors de la rotation du support.
