Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8201279A1] In an unfoldable boat roof, preferably forming an integral part of an inflatable life raft, a passive locating device is comprised by a foldable localization reflector which is set in place upon unfolding the roof body. To this effect, heretofore a triple mirror was placed on the roof, the outer edges of such roof being provided with pipes which are also filled during the inflation of the raft and provide for the unfolding of the reflector. The problem results in that the reflector, due to its weight, shifts upwardly the raft load and that, during the destruction of the pipes for unfolding the mirror, the locating device is out of use. Therefore, the aim of the invention is to provide a locating device which is free of parts which may be easily damaged and which reduces the load placed on top. To this effect, bar shaped elements (15, 16) are arranged along the edges adjacent to the reflection surfaces (12, 13), those elements being connected on the one hand to the body of the roof (10) and the other hand between each other, in the same way as in an umbrella skeleton, to the central point (14) of the reflector (11) so as to diverge from each other.
