[origin: EP0061589A2] The dispenser has a rear panel which is suitable for attachment to a wall and to which a trough-shaped hood is attached in a swivelling manner. The paper towels are accommodated in the hood. By means of a pressing element arranged on the rear panel, the paper towels are pressed resiliently against a removal slot in the hood in the operating position of the towel dispenser. An arresting device is provided for the pressing element.
