Abstract (en)
A driving device for endless form webs (23) with marginal perforations is to operate in such a way that driving is possible in forward and reverse direction without offset of the line, but that at the same time the web is stretched taut at the printing point to reduce noise. For this purpose, drive elements, preferably cog wheels (15), at which a reversal of direction takes place, are used before the printing point, said drive elements acting with positive engagement and being equipped with barbs. After the printing point, two transport rollers (17, 27) as drive elements act with frictional engagement on the form web (23) in such a way that the roller (27) acting on the upper web runs faster than the roller (17) acting on the lower web, both rollers (17, 27) having a greater circumferential speed than the cog wheels (15). <IMAGE>
