In a method of igniting and cleaning an oil stove, in particular a stove for used oil, there is provided in the combustion part (9) a rotor (22) which on rotation displaces slag produced during the combustion outwards into a slag drain (1), the slag ejected being collected in a collecting container (3) disposed underneath. The apparatus comprises a rotor equipped with rotor vanes (23) and a fire lighter disposed on the combustion part as ignition device (5) is provided with a comparatively small combustion chamber. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Verfahren zum Zünden und Reinigen eines Ölofens, insbesondere Altölofens ist i.n Brennertopf (9) ein Rotor (22) vorgesehen, der beim Umlauf die bei Verbrennung anfallende Schlacke radial nach außen in einen Schlackenauslaß (1) verdrängt, wobei die ausgeworfene Schlacke in einem darunter angeordneten Sammelbehälter (3) aufgesammelt wird. Die Vorrichtung umfaßt einen mit Rotorflügeln (23) ausgerüsteten Rotor, wobei als Zündvorrichtung (5) eine am Brennertopf angeordnete Zündbuchse mit einer vergleichsweise kleinen Zündkammer vorgesenen ist.
