[origin: WO8201210A1] An insulating window for heat and sound insulation (Fig. 2) where the window is intended to be mounted preferably in a reveal inside of existing panes (3, 4) and where the window comprises a frame, with which a pane (7) is intended to co-operate. The insulating window is characterized in that said frame (6) consists of a strip (6), preferably of wood, which on its inward facing side surface (8) is provided with a sealing strip (9) of rubber or the like, and that said pane (7) consists of a pane (7) of hardened glass or plexiglass, the edges (10) of which along substantially their entire length are enclosed by an on-carrying edge trip (11) with U-shaped cross-section, which edge strip (11) is intended to seal against said sealing strip (9). A further characterizing feature is that the pane (7) at one vertical edge (14), both at its lower corner (12) and its upper corner (13), is supported by a fastening member (15, 16) capable to enclose the pane (7) at the corner (12, 13), that each fastening member (15, 16) is attached, preferably glued, to the pane (7), thereby rendering the pane (7) self-supporting. Said fastening member (15, 16) is a portion of a hinge (19, 21, 20, 22), so that the pane (7) can be pivoted to and from the said frame (6).

Une fenetre isolante pour l'isolation thermique et l'isolation phonique, (Fig. 2), est destinee a etre montee de preference dans un liste d'encadrement de baie a l'interieur de vitres existantes (3, 4), la fenetre comprenant un cadre avec lequel une vitre (7) est destinee a cooperer. La fenetre isolante se caracterise en ce que le cadre (6) consiste en une bande (6), de preference en bois, qui possede sur sa surface laterale regardant vers l'interieur (8) une bande isolante (9) en caoutchouc ou autre, et en ce que cette vitre (7) consiste en une vitre (7) de verre durci ou en "plexiglass", dont les bords (10) sont enfermes sensiblement sur toute leur longueur par une languette de bordure non portante (11) ayant une section en forme de U, cette languette de bordure (11) s'engageant de maniere etanche contre la bande d'etancheite (9). Un autre trait caracteristique reside dans le fait que le carreau (7), sur un bord vertical (14), a la fois en son coin inferieur (12) et en son coin superieur (13), est supporte par un organe de fixation (15, 16) capable d'enfermer le carreau (7) au niveau des coins (12, 13), chaque organe de fixation (15, 16) etant attache, de preference colle, au carreau (7), rendant ce carreau (7) auto-portant. Cet organe de fixation (15, 16) est une partie d'une charniere (19, 21, 20, 22), de maniere a permettre au carreau (7) de pivoter vers et depuis le cadre (6).
