[origin: US4410257A] An automatic apparatus for developing photographic or similar films comprising processing tanks arranged in a light impervious compartment in seriatim; an articulated arm pivoted on one end to a base located at the center of the processing tanks and having at its opposite end a member intended to receive the spiral on which the film to be developed is wound; apparatus adapted to impart to said articulated arm angular displacement in order to transfer the spiral from one tank to another and repeated upward and downward movement in order to agitate the spiral in a particular processing tank; and a control programmer for controlling the duration of the movements of the arm.
