[origin: WO8201314A1] An adjustable chair, particularly a wheelchair, is described having a footrest (13) which can be moved rearwardly to a position between the wheels (11, 12). The seat (14) can be tilted to raise the occupant towards a standing position. The chair includes a main frame (10) and a sub-frame comprising a seat frame (39) pivotally connected to a back frame (40) carrying seat back (16). A control mechanism (17) is operable to tilt the seat (14) by raising the back frame (40) which is coupled to the frame (10) by upper and lower links (44, 45). The footrest (13) is coupled to the frame (10) by toe arms (27) and heel arms (28), the toe arms (27) being drivable by footrest drive means (22). A torso harness restrains the occupant in the standing position and knee supporting means (55) prevents buckling of the knees. Chair drive means (18) includes a drive actuator (19) which is raised with the seat (14) so a standing occupant can drive the wheelchair.

Une chaise reglable, particulierement une chaise roulante, possede un repose-pieds (13) qui peut etre deplace vers l'arriere vers une position se situant entre les roues (11, 12). Le siege (14) peut etre incline pour lever l'occupant vers une position debout. La chaise comprend un chassis principal (10) et un faux chassis comprenant un cadre de siege (39) relie de maniere pivotante a un cadre de dossier (40) portant un dossier (16). Un mecanisme de commande (17) peut etre actionne pour incliner le siege (14) en relevant le cadre (40) du dossier qui est relie au chassis (10) par des tiges de liaison superieure et inferieure (44, 45). Le repose-pieds (13) est relie au chassis (10) par des bras a orteil (27) et par des bras a talon (28), les bras a orteil (27) pouvant etre actionnes par les moyens d'actionnement (22) du repose-pieds. Un harnais de torse retient l'occupant dans la position debout et des moyens de support de genoux (55) empechent les genoux de s'arquer. Des moyens d'entrainement de la chaise (18) comprennent un dispositif d'actionnement (19) qui est releve avec le siege (14) de maniere telle qu'un occupant debout puisse entrainer la chaise roulante.
