Overvoltage arrester apparatus, consisting of electrodes (39, 40) at an angle with respect to one another (arc horns) which are clad from or with an arc-extinguishing material (37, 38) which releases extinguishing gases, by means of the heat of the arc, particularly electronegative gases for the extinguishing process, and the electrodes are cast or pressed into an insulating mass (45, 46) which releases additional extinguishing gases for the extinguishing process. <IMAGE>

Ueberspannungsschutzgerät, bestehend aus sich winkelig gegenüber stehenden Elektroden (39,40) (Lichtbogenhörner), die aus einem oder mit einem lichtbogenlöschenden Material (37, 38) bekleidet sind, welches durch die Lichtbogenwärme Löschgase, insbesondere elektronegative Gase für den Löschvorgang frei gibt und das die Elektroden in eine Isoliermasse (45, 46) eingegossen, bezw. eingepresst sind, die für den Löschvorgang zusätzlich Löschgase abgibt.
