[origin: US4438441A] A mosaic recorder for selectively ejecting recording liquid droplets from a plurality of nozzles in a recording head onto a moving recording medium for punctiform representation of characters and images has a plurality of piezoelectric transducers respectively associated with each nozzle which are individually actuated for ejecting a droplet from the associated nozzle. The individual transducers are in the form of teeth of a comb-like bilaminar piezoplate consisting of piezoceramic material and a carrier material. The piezo material is removed from portions of the free ends of the transducer teeth which overlie the nozzles for reducing the hydraulic coupling between the teeth in order to substantially minimize cross-talk between an activated transducer tooth and the adjacent transducer teeth.

Bei einem mit Flüssigkeitströpfchen arbeitenden Schreibgerät zur punktweisen Aufzeichnung von Zeichen oder Bildern sind zum Schreiben der einzelnen Punkte reihenweise angeordnete Düsen vorhanden, denen eine gleiche Anzahl piezoelektrischer Wandler zugeordnet ist. Die einzelnen Wandler werden durch die Zähne einer kammartigen Piezoplatte, die bilaminar aus Piezokeramik und einem Trägermaterial gebildet ist, geformt. Um die hydraulische Kopplung zwischen den Zähnen so zu verringern, daß ein Übersprechen von einem aktivierten Zahn auf die benachbarten Zähne beseitigt wird, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß im freien Endbereich der Wandler (12) der Piezokeramikteil (16) vom Trägermaterial (17) entfernt ist.
