Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0063172A2] In a forced mixer rotor consisting of a plurality of tubular sleeves, the mixer arms with the mixer arm holders consisting of wheels with pneumatic tyres, designed for high pressure, are inserted in the airless state into the tubular sleeves of the rotor and held and spring-mounted therein by high air pressure, lateral and vertical mixer arm settings being readjustable fully automatically or by manual actuation by means of a horizontal and vertical pneumatic mixer arm readjustment device which is fixed to the mixer arm parts, the wear on the mixer blade being regulated on vertical readjustment. Since there is no problem in the holding and spring-mounting, wear is reduced, handling is simplified and the field of application of the forced mixer for diverse materials to be mixed is widened, and the mixing effect is improved by simple insertion of special mixer arms and, due to the insulating action of the pneumatic tyres, the mixer arms can also be utilised as electrodes (probes) for moisture- measuring instruments. <IMAGE>
