[origin: WO8201514A1] Printing apparatus, having a rotatable platen (54) with a printing element (56) in front of it, lower and upper platen feed rolls (62) and (72) and a platen drive (58) for rotating the platen (54) upwardly relatively to the printing element (56), is operable to feed, from an upper hopper (66) extending upwardly and rearwardly from the bottom of the platen (54), an unprinted sheet to the bottom of the platen (54) and forwardly and upwardly to the front of the platen (54) into printing position by means of a bail switch (77) operable upon movement of the upper platen feed roll (72) away from the platen (54) to cause the platen (54) to rotate upwardly to move the leading edge of the unprinted sheet into printing position.

Dispositif d'impression, possedant un rouleau porte-papier rotatif (54) dispose en face d'un element d'impression (56), des galets inferieurs et superieurs (62 et 72) de rouleaux porte-papier et un entrainement du rouleau porte-papier (58) servant a faire tourner vers le haut le rouleau porte-papier (54) par rapport a l'element d'impression (56), ce dispositif servant a faire avancer, depuis un magasin de distribution superieure (66) s'etendant vers le haut et vers l'arriere depuis le fond du rouleau porte-papier (54), une feuille non-imprimee jusqu'au fond du rouleau porte-papier (54) et vers l'avant et vers le haut jusqu'a la partie anterieure du rouleau porte-papier (54) dans une position d'impression au moyen d'un commutateur a etrier (77) actionne par le mouvement du galet superieur (72) d'avancement de rouleau porte-papier s'ecartant du rouleau porte-papier (54), ce rouleau tournant vers le haut de maniere a faire avancer le bord d'attaque d'une feuille non imprimee dans une position d'impression.
