Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0063642A1] 1. Apparatus for hot air drying of continuously moving textile material, with at least one perforated conveyor belt transporting the textile material through a plurality of drying zones and with means for supplying hot air to the textile material, in which in at least one blast drying zone nozzle casings for supplying air and means for extracting air are located both on the upper and on the lower side of the conveyor belt, so that in the form of a convective flow on both sides the hot air comes into contact with the textile material lying loosely in the conveyor belt in this blast drying zone, whilst in at least one suction drying zone the means for supplying air are arranged above the conveyor belt and the means for extracting air are arranged below the conveyor belt, so that in this suction drying zone the hot air flows through the textile material and the textile material is pressed onto the conveyor belt, characterised in that the upper nozzle casings (15) of each blast drying zone (7, 9, 11, 13) have hot air outlet slots (17, 17a) inclined towards the textile material (3) in the direction of transport of the textile material, and - viewed in the direction of transport (2) of the textile material - the outlet slot (17a) of the first upper nozzle casing (15) in each case of a blast drying zone is inclined at a angle (alpha) of 10 to 20 degrees relative to the horizontal, whilst the outlet slots (17) of the other upper nozzle casings (15) form an angle (beta) of 45 to 75 degrees with the horizontal.
