1. Plug insert element for flat cables for insertion in a plug casing, in particular for connection to flat cables in signal engineering, comprising a block-shaped insulating portion (2) with mounting guides (4) closed on one end and provided within the said insulating portion (2) in a row one beside the other for receiving the ends of the individual conductors (3) of the flat cables, each of the said mounting guides (4) being engaged by a contact reed (5) which can be pushed through the insulation of the individual conductors (3) to establish electric contact with the strand (7) of the associated individual conductor (3), characterized in that the contact reeds (5) take the form of laterally bent-off portions of elongated contact springs (12) and that the contact springs (12) are provided in diametrically opposite arrangement on two parallel outer faces (8, 9) of the block-shaped insulating portion (2) so that the contact reeds (5) project into the mounting guides (4) alternately from opposite sides (8, 9) of the block-shaped insulating portion (2).

Mit der vorliegenden Erfindung wird ein Steckereinsatzelement beschrieben, das zur Aufnahme von Einzeladern von Flachschnüren dient und insbesondere zur Anbindung an Flachschnüre der Schwachstromtechnik verwendet werden kann. Das erfindungsgemäße Steckereinsatzelement zeichnet sich gegenüber den bekannten Bauarten dadurch aus, daß die in einen Isolierblock eingeführten Einzeladern abwechselnd von zwei sich gegenüberliegenden Seiten des Blockbereiches kontaktiert werden, so daß zwei gegenüberliegende Außenflächen des Isolierblocks zur Anordnung der Kontaktfedern ausgenützt werden können. Bei gleichbleibender Isolierblockgröße können mehr Einzeladern einer Flachschnur kontaktiert werden, als dies bei bekannten Bauarten der Fall ist. Ebenso brauchen keine vergoldeten Kontakte verwendet zu werden, da die Leitungsquerschnitte groß genug sind, um eine einwandfreie Kontaktgabe zu erhalten.
