In the manufacture of multiple packagings, it is advantageous to produce a uniform pack size in order to be able to work efficiently. However, this does not usually meet the wishes of the manufacturers and the consumers. A method is therefore proposed by means of which relatively large packagings are manufactured to be divided up into the particular desired size at the end of the production process. This is done by equipping the packaging sleeve with a perforated line along which the packaging can be separated. The packaging sleeve has a cover side with which it bears on the packaged articles, and two side walls. The apparatus has two rotatably mounted levers in a first station which permit the perforated lines in the two side walls to be broken open, and, in a second station, has two abutments as well as a pressure-transmitting element, which together permit the cover side of the jacket to be broken open along the perforated line there. <IMAGE>

Beim Herstellen von Mehrstückverpackungen ist es zweckmäßig, eine einheitliche Packungsgröße zu produzieren, um rationell arbeiten zu können. Dies entspricht jedoch meistens nicht den Wünschen der Hersteller und der Verbraucher. Es wird daher ein Verfahren vorgeschlagen, mit dem verhältnismäßig große Verpackungen hergestellt werden, die am Ende des Produktionsprozesses auf die jeweils gewünschte Größe abgeteilt werden. Das geschieht dadurch, daß die Verpackungshülle mit einer Perforationslinie ausgestattet wird, entlang der die Verpackung auseinanderbrechbar ist: Die Verpackungshülle hat eine Deckseite, mit der sie auf den verpackten Gegenständen aufliegt sowie zwei Seitenwände. Die Vorrichtung hat in einer ersten Station zwei drehbar gelagerte Hebel, welche die Perforationslinien in den beiden Seitenwänden aufzubrechen vermögen und in einer zweiten Station zwei Widerlager sowie ein Druckstück, welche zusammen die Deckseite der Umhüllung entlang der dortigen Perforationslinie aufzubrechen vermögen.
