[origin: US4437405A] An apparatus for transferring ink to the printing plate of a metering head of a metering machine has an ink storage roller mounted on a roller support with which it is interchangeably inserted through a lateral opening in the metering machine casing. On one end of the roller support, a handle is provided which is located laterally on the casing, thereby preventing contact with the ink storage roller during replacement. The insertion of a new ink storage roller is facilitated by a fixed bearing bolt on which is mounted the hollow shaft of the roller support. A protective sleeve connected to the back of the casing wall prevents unauthorized access to the metering head of the metering machine through the casing opening.

Die Einrichtung zum Farbübertrag auf das Klischee des Frankierkopfes einer Frankiermaschine hat eine Farbspeicherwalze (16), die auf einem Walzenträger (36) gelagert ist, mit dem sie durch eine seitliche Oeffnung (44) im Gehäuse (28) der Frankiermaschine auswechselbar eingesetz ist. Der Walzenträger hat an seinem einen Ende einen Handgriff (40). der seitlich am Gehäuse angeordnet ist, so dass ein Berühren der Farbspeicherwalze (16) beim Auswechseln verhindert wird. Das Einführen einer neuen Farbspeicherwalze wird durch einen feststehenden Lagerungsbolzen (42) erleichert, auf den der 5 Hohlschaft (34) des Walzenträgers aufgeschoben wird. Eine Sicherungshülse (52), die sich an der Rückseite der Gehäusewand (46) anschliesst, verhindert einen missbräuchlichen Zugriff zu dem Frankierkopf der Frankiermaschine durch die Gehäuseöffnung (44) hindurch.
