1. A compound material for electrical contacts which consists of at least two components which are mutually insoluble, wherein one of the components is a copper alloy to which at least one active component is added, in particular for low-voltage and wiring switching apparatus, characterised in that the alloying constituent of the copper is at least one element from the group of antimony, gallium and germanium, the antimony content of the alloy being in the range of between 0,01 and 7 atom %, the corresponding gallium content being in the range of between 0,5 and 20 atom %, and the corresponding germanium content being in the range of between 0,5 and 10 atom %.

Ein Verbundwerkstoff für elektrische Kontakte, insbesondere für Niederspannungs- und Installationsschaltgeräte, enthält mindestens zwei ineinander nicht gelöste Komponenten, von denen eine Komponente eine Kupferlegierung ist. Kontakte aus diesem Verbundwerkstoff sollen insbesondere niedrige Kontaktspannungen nach einer Vielzahl von Schaltvorgängen zeigen. Die Erfindung sieht hierzu vor, daß der Legierungsbestandteil des Kupfers mindestens ein Element aus der Gruppe Antimon, Gallium, Germanium ist, wobei der Antimon-Gehalt der Legierung zwischen 0,01 und 7 Atom-% bzw. der entsprechende Gallium-Gehalt zwischen 0,5 und 20 Atom-% bzw. der entsprechende Germanium-Gehalt zwischen 0,5 und 10 Atom-% liegen. Diese Kupferlegierungen können mindestens einen weiteren Legierungsbestandteil enthalten, und zwar eine vorbestimmte Menge eines oder mehrerer Elemente aus der Gruppe Cadmium, Chrom, Kobalt, Palladium, Silizium. Als in den Kupferlegierungen nicht gelöste Komponenten sind an sich bekannte Wirkkomponenten geeignet.
