1. A method for the horizontal continuous casting of metals and their alloys wherein the elongate workpiece is drawn off continuously, intermittently or in the pilgrim step mode, characterised in that the continuous drawing stroke or the intermittent one or the one effected in the batchwise mode is or are carried out at a drawing off speed which always fluctuates above the zero value in an oscillating mode.

Ein Verfahren zum horizontalen Stranggiessen von Metallen und deren Legierungen sowie eine Horizontal-Stranggiessanlage hierfür. Der Strang wird kontinuierlich, intermittierend oder im Pilgerschritt von einer Ziehvorrichtung abgezogen, und der kontinuierliche Auszugshub bzw. die intermittierenden oder im Pilgerschritt erfolgenden Auszugshübe werden mit einer über dem Wert Null oszillierend schwankenden Abzugsgeschwindigkeit ausgeführt. Die Schwankungsfrequenz beträgt beispielsweise 150Hz.
