Pressure cooling tube for direct intensive cooling of rolling product to remove the heat of rolling, the cooling water being supplied in the same flow direction as the rolling product to be cooled via nozzle heads (1, 2) and being guided away via a collection chamber (5) and deflection chambers (6) which have guide funnels (8), characterised in that the deflection chambers (6) are arranged following the collection chamber (5) and are arranged before the guide funnels (8) closely above the guide plates (7) upwardly closing the roll passage, inlets (9) for a fluid and/or gaseous stripping medium discharging into the guide plates (7).
