[origin: WO8201639A1] An ear tag for animals. The ear tag involves mating male and female members, the male member including a hollow stem (12), a neck (13) at the outermost end of the stem (12), a shaped head member adapted to be located and retained in the hollow stem (12) and head member projecting beyond the neck (13) and having its maximum transverse cross-section (23) larger than that of the neck (13), and a cutting edge (24) cooperating with the underside of the neck (27) of the female member to remove a section of the ear as the tag is applied. The female member also includes a recess (29) in a cup (28) to accommodate the pointed head (18) and an opening (30) which grips tightly on the neck (13) of the male member.

L'etiquette d'oreille pour animaux consiste a accoupler un organe male et un organe femelle, l'organe male consistant en une tige creuse (12), un col (13) a l'extremite la plus a l'exterieur de la tige (12), un organe de tete forme adapte pour etre positionne et retenu dans la tige creuse (12), l'organe de tete se projetant au-dela du col (13) et dont sa section transversale maximum (23) est plus grande que celle du col (13), et un bord tranchant (24) cooperant avec le dessous du col (27) de l'organe femelle pour enlever une section de l'oreille lorsque l'on applique la marque ou etiquette. L'organe femelle comprend aussi un evidement (29) dans un godet (28) pour recevoir la tete pointue (18) et une ouverture (30) qui serre fermement sur le col (13) de l'organe male.
