[origin: EP0065726A2] To introduce a yarn (12) into a texturing nozzle, the texturing nozzle is brought together with an entry piece (1) into a position in which the yarn is at least approximately perpendicular to the axis of the texturing nozzle. With an enlarged cross-section of the entry orifice of the texturing nozzle, the yarn is cut off underneath the texturing nozzle immediately after being sucked up. Subsequently, the device (11) necessary for the suction is separated from the texturing nozzle (10). The entry orifice of the texturing nozzle is then reduced by the gaseous medium to the cross-section advantageous for the stationary operating phase and the texturing nozzle is brought into the working position for texturing. The provision of the different cross-sections of the entry orifice is obtained by a piston inserted vertically adjustably in the entry piece (1) and having an axial perforation larger than the yarn entry orifice and connected operatively to this. This guarantees the setting of equivalent and reproducible flow conditions in the texturing nozzle, and the yarn can thus be introduced in an especially simple way. <IMAGE>
