An internal window seal in the form of an elongate strip portion of elastic material, the profile of which comprises a web portion (1) with an anchoring groove (2), with a retaining lip (7) on one side and a sealing lip (3) and at least one clamping lip (4, 5) on the opposite side, wherein the sealing lip (3) and the anchoring groove (2) are arranged in the region of one end of the web portion and the other end of the web portion terminates in the form of a projection portion (6) which adjoints the lowermost clamping lip (5) and which is curved towards the side of the anchoring groove (2), characterized in that the web portion (1) comprises a hard elastic material at least in the region of the projection portion (6) and the adjoining clamping lip (5) and the remainder of the seal comprises a soft elastic material, that the angle (alpha) included by the straight lines through the respective apexes of the projection portion (6) and of the adjoining clamping lip (5) on the one hand and through the middle of the base line (b1 ) of said clamping lip on the other hand is from 100 to 140 degrees, that the angle (beta) which is included by the straight line through the apex and the middle of the base line (b1 , b2 ) of each clamping lip (4, 5) and a straight line parallel to the mounting bar contacting surface (8) of the anchoring groove (2) is from 80 to 120 degrees, and that the angle (gamma) which is included by the straight lines through the respective apexes of the projection portion (6) and the retaining lip (7) on the one hand and through the centre point of the base line (b1 ) of the clamping lip (5) adjoining the projection portion on the other hand is from 90 to 120 degrees.
