Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8202055A1] In a device for tightening and lifting rammers or for maintaining the lifting position of the rammer of a compacting machine, the rods (4) of the various rammers are retained by stops (2) in moving tightening bodies (3). In the device for lifting rammers, a working cylinder, subjected to a control, acts on each stop (2) to lift and lower it. Another cylinder (5) not controlled, acts on the tightening body (3). The chambers of this cylinder communicate with a pressureless container for the working means. This cylinder (5) operates by modification of the volume of the chambers, opposed to the motion of the stop (2). At the beginning of the lifting motion, the tightening body (3) is firmly pressed by the stop (2) and the rammer rod connected thereto and lifted therewith. At the beginning of the lowering motion of the stop (2), the tightening body (3) is released under the effect of the cylinder (5) releasing the rod of the rammer (4). In the device for maintaining the rammer in the lifted position, the stop (2) is rigidly connected to the frame of the compacting machine while the tighteningbody (3) is pressed or released by the control of the pressure cylinder (16).
