[origin: US4490052A] A watchcase (1) comprising essentially a body (15) to the top surface of which is held a flat crystal (2) by means of fixation members (4) providing grooves in which the edges of the crystal are secured after having been laterally engaged therein, and a sealing strip against the perimeter of the bottom face (11) of the crystal. The grooves of the fixation members (4) are bounded by two facing surfaces between which the crystal is engaged, the top groove surface (6) bearing against the top face (8) of the crystal. The case further comprises means (12) for applying the sealing strip (10) against the bottom face (11) of the crystal only after the crystal has been engaged in the grooves.

La boîte de motre (1) comporte notamment une carrure (15) à la surface supérieure de laquelle est assujettie une glace plane (2) au moyen d'organes de fixation (4) formant des rainures dans lesquelles les bords de la glace sont retenus après y avoir été engagés latéralement, et un joint d'étanchéité contre la périphérie de la face inférieure (11) de la glace. Les rainures des organes de fixation (4) sont définie par deux surfaces en regard entre lesquelles est engagée la glace, la surface supérieure (6) des rainures s'appuyant contre la face supérieure (8) de la glace. La boîte comporte en outre des moyens (12) pour n'appliquer le joint d'étanchéité (10) contre la face inférieure (11) de la glace qu'après l'engagement de la glace dans les rainures.
