[origin: EP0067272A2] 1. A rivetting device, with work cylinder (1) featuring an axially shiftable work piston (2) steerable with the aid of a pressurizing medium, complete with a die (3) guided in a hold-down (6), change of position of a control or steering valve (27) enabling this pressurizing medium to be fed at either end, such work piston being flush during rivetting with a counter-holder (12) and a rivet feed system or rivet dispenser (15) which are located at the off side of the parts (11) to be rivetted together plus a steering or control piston (4) linked by a measuring connection (26) with the said rivet dispenser (15) in a manner permitting selection of rivets (10) of various lengths, the rivetting device being characterized by : 1.1 the work piston (2) having a steering or control bore (2e) ; 1.2 the control piston (4) arranged to connect with the control bore (2e) ; 1.3 the control piston (4) arranged to connect with the hold-down (6) ; 1.4 the hold-down (6), designed as a hollow cylinder or tube, incorporating the work piston (2) ; 1.5 control piston (4) and hold-down (6), pending the flush positioning of the hold-down (6) relative to the parts (11) to be rivetted together, being axially shiftable in the control bore (2e) and/or the hold-down bore (6a).
