[origin: WO8202225A1] The sealing strip for doors and windows is comprised of two strips (1 and 2) of synthetic material forming a V-shaped profile. A third strip (3) is fixed to the joint (4) of the first two strips. The strips (2 and 3) are coated, on their face intended to be glued to the frame or the leaf, with a layer of glue (8). The layer of glue is itself covered with a flexible removable layer (9). A groove (10) provided inside the joint of the first two strips makes the material thinner at that point and gives the desired flexibility. Also, a groove (11) allows the third strip to be folded in the case where the leaf is not large enough to glue flat the whole strip. The configuration of this sealing strip prevents the unsticking due to repeated traction forces which are exerted during the closure and opening of the window or the door. The strip is also easy to set and durable.

Cette bande d'etancheite pour portes et fenetres est constituee de deux lames (1 et 2) en matiere synthetique formant un profil en V. Une troisieme lame (3) est fixee a la jointure (4) des deux premieres lames. Les lames (2 et 3) sont recouvertes, sur leur face destinee a etre collee au battant ou au bati dormant, d'une couche de colle (8). La couche de colle est elle-meme recouverte d'une couche amovible souple (9). Une gorge (10) pratiquee a l'interieur de la jointure des deux premieres lames amincit la matiere a cet endroit-la et donne la souplesse necessaire. De meme, une rainure (11) permet de replier la troisieme lame au cas ou le battant n'est pas assez large pour coller la bande entiere a plat. La configuration de cette bande d'etancheite permet d'eviter le decollement du aux efforts de traction repetee qui sont exerces lors de la fermeture et de l'ouverture de la porte ou de la fenetre. La bande est en outre facile a poser et durable.
